Mi Familia

I just wanted to take a minute and say how much I love Jenn and Susan and their family. Jenn and Susan are definitely the sisters I always wanted and I love them so much and I am so thankful to have them in my life. I am so proud that my daughter shares their name (Lauren Elizabeth-McKenna) and I am just so thankful for the memories and friendship we share. I hope that Claire and Lauren will be able to be friends throughout their lives and I am just so thankful to be blessed with relationships like I have with them. Jenn~ Thanks for always being there for me to talk to. Thanks for inspiring me and for putting me in my place when I need to be straightened out. Susan~ Thanks for just being you. You are a great mom. Claire is very lucky to have you and Oliver for parents! Thanks for being my family always. I love you.

Beach Beauty

Here are some more pictures of Lauren at the beach. She was such a good girl that day. She didn't have a nap until the end of the day and she was so happy and playful all day. She did very well traveling, too. It was so nice to be able to have that time together as a family!

Our Baby the Beach Bum

On Friday, we went to Michigan to a resort to spend some time at the beach with our "McKenna family". Lauren got to ride the waves of Lake Michigan (she loves the water!), hang out on the beach, and spend some time with Aunt Jenn and Susan, Claire, Oliver, and the rest of the family. We had a great time and it was so nice just to get away for a little bit. Here are some fun (and one horribly hilarious) pictures of Lauren and her day on the beach.

Little Swimmer Girl

We went to a wedding out of state this week and stayed at a hotel. Lauren got to go swimming for the first time while we were there and she loved it!!!!!!

We went to Ethel's Chocolate Lounge w/a couple of Lauren's favorite Aunties, Jen and Jannica, to celebrate the beginning of summer. Lauren loves them both so much and these pictures show it!!!!!

First Trip to the Zoo

We took Lauren to the Racine Zoo and here are some pictures from our trip. We had a very nice time except for the tiger began to growl/roar and scared Lauren and that night she had a HORRIBLE night terror. She's doing ok now, though.

Memorial Day in the Chi
